“Cuando a Myles le preguntaban si se parecía a [James] Joyce, decía que “nada podría estar más lejos de Detroit” y que Finnegans Wake era una “billetera de ropa interior literaria”. Junto con Lo que el viento se llevó, era el único libro que había empezado cinco veces sin ser capaz de acabarlo.”
John Russell Taylor firma Vivien Leigh, un recorrido por la vida y el trabajo de la protagonista de Lo que el viento se llevó, la película con la que comienza el relato de este libro.
El libro aporta una magnífica colección de fotografías en color y blanco y negro de la actriz, a la que Taylor atribuye un par de ojos... verdes.

Amarga victoria, su autor, Ed Sikov, dedica unos párrafos a la experiencia de Davis con el proyecto de David O. Selznick que, como sabemos, no tuvieron un resultado positivo.
